The inclusion of the CAMP mechanics, which let players create their own bases and furniture out of the scrap they find, has, according to them, broadened Fallout 76’s appeal, attracting roleplayers and people who like to craft in games. Historically, western first-person-shooters have struggled to gain a foothold in the region, with some exceptions like the Call of Duty series and battle royales like Apex Legends.
